I've been through some difficult times throughout my life, more than some people but not as many as others. I believe if we share our experiences, all of them, we all learn. It's the way, not of the human race, but of the human journey. We then realize that we are not alone, but a part of the human family.Nature has always been my refuge. And I look to it to find answers or, at least, suggestions, on how to deal with where I am at. I share these thoughts with you to let you know that you can overcome whatever you are dealing with. We are bigger than anything that happens to us.I started writing down most of these thoughts or feelings when I was going through my divorce. At the time I was paying rent on the house in the city where my wife (soon to be ex) and our three boys were living, while at the same time paying the mortgage on the house we were trying to sell and where I was living. All I had was a card table, a folding chair and a bed. I had no hot water because I couldn't afford the oil. I would get to work early to take a shower there, that is assuming my Pinto would start in the morning. At night I would sit at the card table and scribble down my thoughts. I have shared a few of these in my other writings. Recently I was cleaning out my closet and found three binders that I had kept my thoughts in. I decided to share them with you in the hope of lifting you up when you're down. As I wrote, "confusion is a gift inviting you to turn to someone." Actually I wrote these thoughts down almost forty years ago. Without realizing it at the time, they helped me to walk through the valley of darkness. They gave me hope that kept me going. This book is a series of essays (13) about some of the more important questions in philosophy and religion. The essays represent the author's take on the most reasonable answers to these questions as well as the justifications for those answers. They are written in an essay form and a colloquial style rather than in the style of a professional journal article in the hope of easing the reader's way through them and rewarding his/her interest and curiosity. No dogmatism here, just a reflective and open attempt to discern what is the case with regard to some perennial and serious issues which commonly confront us.

Inside Out

This book is a speck of fire from mans inherent quest to be at a perfect self-contented oneness with nature. Todays rat race towards technological development might have thrusted man to lack awareness of that quest. Infact, the human journey and conditioning itself has an inherent character of making him lack awareness of his pristine aspects. This book is a humble effort in reminding man of his own quest, in facilitating him to get in touch with the truth long-suppressed and forgotten. The growing imbalance in the society is finding its expression not merely as the materialistic gap between haves and have-nots, but also in the form of Kundalini/Consciousness Awakening in more and more people. The spiritual deficit of the human collective is manifesting as spiritual burden on some. We know the many scientific laws of conservation, dont we? Among other things, the book propounds a possibility that our incapacity to comprehend God might be the limitiation of human evolution, as of now! As much as the book talks about God, Spirituality and Mysticism, the book is more an effort in questioning the sufficiency of science for current needs of human evolution. Time has come for man to expand his horizons not through Technology but by regaining his roots of spiritual strength and in the process expand the horizons of science. No development can be linear and no one instrument can prove self-sufficient for human evolution. In that sense, Science has reached its threshold. Yet, Science with Heart is waiting to be discovered and explored through the reinstatement of Trinity and Balance in the world. This book might not contain any new spiritual talk or wisdom for the spiritually inclined. But it might make a very interesting read for those who are not spiritually inclinedyet. And when we realize that the term spiritually inclined is a misnomer, for we are the spirit, the purpose behind this book would have been fulfilled.

Ray Wolf thinks the world has gone crazy. In that light, Wolf, who prefers to think of himself as a realist rather than a pessimist, shares a collection of opinions designed to point out what is wrong and in need of repair with the world and modern society. In a style that ranges from witty to sarcastic, Wolf not only pokes fun at, but also confronts many of the frustrations we face at some time or another in life. Shared with the intent of motivating others to think about their own lives and the ever-changing world around them, Wolf’s opinions provide a glimpse into the effects of computerization and technology, capitalism, employer demands, consumerism, and much more. Also included are his opinions on education, both from schooling and parents, as well as the consequences of materialism, pollution, and celebrity overload. Reflections on a F*cked-Up World offers one man’s outlook on life as he travels a bumpy road through reality and encourages others to make positive changes in the world.
