This book contains stories told from the point of view of those who experienced the revelations in the Doctrine and Covenants, giving us insight into their meaning. While the section headings provide context for the revelations, they don’t tell the complete story. What questions prompted the revelations? What did the Lord’s responses mean to those He addressed? How did they respond? Perfect for study with the Doctrine and Covenants.

Reveals the story of an extraordinary woman who lived in a trying time. As the wife of Joseph Smith, the first Latter-day Saint Prophet, Emma knew much of religious bigotry, vexatious lawsuits, and lawless brutality. She comforted Joseph in his extremities, bore his children, and wrote of her abiding love for him. Yet, as time passed and Joseph was murdered, Emma struggled to find her place. Her life story, unique from beginning to end, is presented here in a question and answer format to supply readers with easy access to her biographical information and increased understanding of the trials and triumphs of this remarkable woman.

This is a book of questions. Just questions, no answers, though occasionally I will throw in some answer-like material to help make the question easier to understand. It is a book of questions because in my experience-in both personal scripture study and in teaching Sunday School and other lessons-questions are of more help for reflective, deep study. We learn new things when we respond to new questions, and the person who says "I no longer get anything out of my scripture study" no longer runs up against questions to think about as he or she reads. This book is intended to make reading harder-and therefore fresher-by giving such readers questions for study.
