Wonderland meets Mindfulness in this imaginative and engrossing colouring book, perfect for losing yourself in, as you bring colour to this magical worldAlice's Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll, was first published in 1865 by Macmillan & Co. In January 1864 Carroll met with the illustrator John Tenniel, and in Tenniel's hands, the characters of Wonderland came to life. Printing Tenniel's images in the first edition of the book involved careful preparation - the drawings were carved into woodblocks by wood engravers, and the blocks were used to create metal 'electrotypes' that would be used on the printing press. This fine art print has been made using traditional methods of reproduction and printing. In 2014 Macmillan created a new set of reproductions from the original woodblocks, now held in the British Library. The printing has been done on a traditional 4-colour proofing press, printing directly onto art-quality paper.

Sir John Tenniel (1820-1914), an English illustrator, is perhaps best known for the artwork he created for Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and the sequel, Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. Knighted in 1893, he also drew political cartoons for the British magazine Punch for over fifty years.Curator Prime is delighted to present all of Sir Tenniel's illustrations from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland in this adult coloring book. The now iconic representations of Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, the Gryphon and the Mock Turtle, and the White Rabbit are joined by less familiar characters such as the members of the Caucus-Race, the Duchess, Father William and his son, and a personal favorite of Curator Prime, Bill the Lizard.
